This is the bad kind of Christmas. The kind where all we do is run run run, go here, go there, get this, do this, pick this person up, drop this thing off, blah blah blah... on and on and on. There hasn't been ONE DAY in the last several WEEKS where I've gotten to just sit down and focus on ANYTHING. Which means that pretty much nothing I had in mind for presents for anybody has gotten done. So I went shopping last night, bought some stuff for the two of them, very practical and small shopping, and that's it. I did get a few things made, and I know they'll like them... I just feel so very unaccomplished. -__-;;
Too hectic, this Christmas. Here it is only 5 days before, (technically 4), and I still don't feel festive at all. Except for getting to make my handmade holiday cards, but even then I didn't get them done as early as I would have liked, and they'll probably be late getting to most people.
Ugh. Too much. Can we start December over again, please? |

As of now, everything in my computer WORKS. I do hope that this continues...
The tablet... I called customer service about it, and they walked me through a bunch of steps which ultimately determined that the battery was dead, and that it was getting radio interference from something else on my desk. So for now, I can run it off of the plug-in power supply, without the battery in it. As for what was causing the interference, I still have no idea, but it works just fine as long as I hold it a few inches away from the desk. -__-;; Weird crap. But it works! IT WORKS!! SO YAYYY! :D
The speakers are also working nicely! The culprit? A missing driver! ^_^
The video was also discovered this morning to be non-working. Everything was pink. Culprit? Missing codec!
And flash is working much better now, since the way all this other non-tablet stuff was fixed, was to take it to a repair shop and get a much needed memory upgrade. So yayyy! Its even a little bit faster/smoother running overall, now! :)

Nevermind. Tablet's still/again dead.
WHY the ____ does it work one minute, and die the next?? It was working FINE!! Then I left the house to take Justin home, come back, and its kaput again!!! So I tried thwacking the stylus again, and nothing! It eventually sparked back to life for about 10 seconds, and then AGAIN, NOTHING! AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGGGGGH!!!!!!
If its going to be dead then I flippin' want it to be DEAD. Enough of this on-again-off-again!!

THREE DAYS of frustration, uninstalling/reinstalling drivers, switching USB ports, screaming, restarting, swearing...
I Googled up an answer to my tablet troubles, found ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) roflsky's suggestion to simply "thwack" the stylus, and it WORKED!!! My tablet and stylus are ALIVE AND WELL... AGAIN!!!
Seriously, tho, I can't believe the amount of trouble I've had with this thing... -__-;;
BUT YAY!!!
Now if only I could get my speakers to work again, and my flash/shockwave running smoothly. Anybody know anything about sound cards? I think that might be the speaker issue. Just a hunch, but I actually know nothing about them... |

This is going to be a short post, because it needs to be.
I have a new desk in my room, and it is awesome! :D
Justin is installing new windows throughout our house, and they are awesome! :D No more sticking window in my room that metal-on-metal screams when you open and close it. I HATE THAT NOISE. Yayyy new window!! :D
I have a slice of banana dream cake from Toojays in front of me right now. And I are eatin' it. :D MMMMMMMMMM!!!!
Adrian "fixed" my computer. Now my tablet, speakers, and shockwave/flash don't work. AT ALL.
All I want for Christmas is the stars I sent y'all. *WINK!* :D
This Christmas had better not suck. I think it just might though, because I'm running out of time too fast to get done all the projects I wanted to get done for everybody. I hate when Christmas comes and I don't have anything/much to give. :( But I'll keep staying up all night every night, because the days are too busy with other crap.
Is it just me, or is the movie "The Polar Express" incredibly annoying? I still have yet to see the whole thing because I get bored/fed up with it quite early on.
My room was all nice and tidy and beautiful, and then it got all effed up by moving furniture from the living room in here so that Christmas decorations could go up. Then I fixed that, now its all effed up again from having my new window put in. BUT THE WINDOW IS SO NICE OMG!!
I still haven't made my Christmas cards this year!! And am behind on SO MUCH CRAP!!
Ok, Justin and the neighbor are here right now, and the neighbor's Rottweiler, Rebel, wandered over with him. Imma go play with a big silly dog now. :D |
